This Privacy Policy explains how Revwue ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our service at revwue.in.

1. WHO WE ARE

Revwue is a WhatsApp-based review management service for local businesses in India. We help businesses collect customer feedback and manage their Google ratings.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

2.1 Information you provide

When you create an account:

  • Name and email address
  • Business name and type
  • Google Business Profile link

When you use the service:

  • Customer names and WhatsApp numbers you upload
  • Feedback submitted through private feedback forms

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you use Revwue:

  • Log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited)
  • Device information (device type, operating system)
  • Usage data (features used, time spent, actions taken)
  • Essential cookies for session management

2.3 Information from third parties

  • Google: if you connect your Google Business Profile
  • WhatsApp/Meta: message delivery status

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and operate the Revwue service
  • Send WhatsApp review request messages on your behalf
  • Process payments and manage your subscription
  • Send you service emails (account confirmation, password reset, billing receipts)
  • Notify you of negative customer feedback
  • Improve and develop new features
  • Prevent fraud and ensure security
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your data or your customers' data to any third party. Ever.

4. YOUR CUSTOMERS' DATA

When you upload customer phone numbers and names to Revwue, you are providing us with personal data of third parties (your customers).

You represent and warrant that:

  • You have a legitimate business relationship with each customer whose data you upload
  • Customers have implicitly or explicitly consented to receiving communications from your business
  • You will not upload numbers of people who have not interacted with your business
  • You will comply with all applicable laws regarding customer communication

We process customer data only to send messages on your behalf. We do not use customer data for our own marketing, profiling, or any other purpose.

Customer data is retained for 12 months from the date of last activity and then permanently deleted.

5. DATA SHARING

We share data only where necessary to provide the service. We do not sell your data or your customers' data. We do not share data for advertising, marketing, or profiling purposes.

All providers are bound by their own data processing agreements with appropriate security standards.

6. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY

Your data is stored on servers provided by Supabase and Vercel, which may be located outside India. By using Revwue you consent to this transfer.

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data:

  • All data transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption
  • Passwords hashed using industry-standard methods
  • Database access restricted by row-level security
  • API keys stored as environment variables, never exposed in code

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we do our best to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Deletion — request deletion of your account and all associated data
  • Portability — request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Objection — object to how we process your data

8. COOKIES

Revwue uses only essential cookies required for the service to function — specifically to keep you logged in between sessions. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking cookies, or analytics cookies of any kind.

You cannot disable essential cookies without affecting your ability to stay logged in. All other cookie types can be blocked in your browser without impacting the service.

9. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Revwue is intended for use by businesses and adults only. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, contact us immediately at hello@revwue.in.

10. RETENTION

  • Account data: retained while your account is active and for 90 days after deletion
  • Customer data: retained for 12 months from last activity then permanently deleted
  • Message logs: retained for 6 months then deleted
  • Billing records: retained for 7 years as required by Indian tax law

11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do we will update the date at the top and notify you by email if the changes are significant. Continued use of Revwue after changes means you accept the updated policy.
